Waiting for the call

Hello friends and family,

I finally started a blog to keep all of you updated on our journey to get Hope Anjali in Bangalore, India! Scott came up with the blog name and I love it for so many reasons. (I'll share later)

We are so excited, scared, and overwhelmed to begin this amazing part of our journey God has us on. When we knew he was leading us to adopt and add to our family, we had no idea what he was preparing for us. All of this is so much bigger than us and so amazing to us that God would give us the opportunity to raise another one of His children. Words can't express how wonderful it is to know that God chose this child to be born 2 1/2 years ago and she would become a part of our family. I have a picture frame someone special gave me with the verse, 1 Corinthians 2:9 "No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him." We would have never thought we'd be going to India to bring a little girl home to be in our family. I'm so glad God knows what is best and helps us to see what he has prepared. This whole process has taught us so much of His love, grace, strength, and power and we look forward to the new challenges of opportunity soon to come. We know there will be many.

We thank all of you so much for your prayers, support, and encouragment. We are so blessed by all of you!! Please keep all of us in your prayers.

Now that all of our paper work has been approved we are just waiting for the courts to approve us as guardians. We received word yesterday that the first court hearing will be February 16. There will be three more hearings possibly within the next month or two and then hopefully we will be ready to travel. We will keep you updated with new information as we receive it.

For now I am busy reorganizing the house and trying to prepare for a little girl. How fun is that? I'll let you know how all goes.

Love to each of you,
Kathy
